Hump Day Triple

Another swell day at the office.

Things have finally got some traction with The Playground and we now have a tentative open date: May 1st.

Training sessions were good, Outlaw-ish lifting with some of my own conditioning on top, big day ahead of rest tomorrow.

Just a thought before I get into the nuts and bolts of the day: I seriously believe that if you want to be a good CrossFitter you need to squat a shit load. I’ve not really worked on my Oly lifting much this year but have been focusing on my squats (both front and back)

I recently PRd my C&J at 132kg and the clean felt and looked easy. Todays 1+1/4 Front Squats were a breeze and I wish I had done all sets at 130 or heavier. I recommend squatting three times a week for a while, everything else will improve as well, I promise.

After the last session I reached what I like to call the KP point of diminished returns. This is basically where my training is no longer productive / making me better and I am simply flirting with getting injured.

Will enjoy the rest tomorrow!
